Media assets are $400 for 24 professionally-edited and copyright-released photos (about an hour on site). Distance to locations will be billed appropriately. More assets and time on site earn discounts.
More complex work, videoing, and editing require a pre-production meeting are appropriately priced.
I have loved photography since high school: A close friend with a 35mm film camera captured silly, fun, and memorable shots of kids doing what kids do. A photo that is long-lost is a rare one of me, playing my favorite guitar on the roof, backlit by an orange sunset; what I wouldn’t give to have that today…
Since then, I have accumulated a lifetime of point and shoot photos, from days in the Army (Germany and Desert Shield/Storm) to family and friends to time on Maui windsurfing/surfing.
My late, sweet, sharp mom always said take lots of photos, and as kids we were a wee bit annoyed with having to patiently wait to be wrangled. Now that so many are gone, I treasure every snapshot. I now understand that photos get more valuable with every passing day. These days, I would give just about anything to have one more picture with my parents and grandparents.
The Pandemic helped shift my career from education to media. One brother and a dear friend were making money with their drones, so while locked at home (giving math lectures online for a local community college) I studied for and passed the FAA’s test (which is no joke!), and I learned the intricate and challenging controls of cameras, exposure triangle, and composition; it’s a fascinating and endless combination of art and science.
In this new milieu and with the power of media assets, I have become fascinated with marketing and documenting how people build things.
Today, the satisfaction in my work is seeing how happy people are when they see themselves and their work captured for keeping, sharing, and marketing - for posterity.
Nope, you won’t see me in many photographs; I prefer to be behind the camera sharing how good you look.
No argument, our phones take fantastic photos and videos, but they are nothing like what a professional with professional gear can capture for perpetuity.
I am certified by the FAA with a Part 107 license (#4379945) and insured by Professional Photographers of America (policy #3067903).
For volunteer and community work, I put my time and money where my mouth is with our local Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools (https://www.foundationscps.org/) and nationally with Persian Gulf War Veterans (1990-1991), medical research advocacy (https://www.nova.edu/nim/research-studies/gulf-war-illness.html ), lived-experienced veterans for Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (https://cdmrp.health.mil/default ), and the Research Advisory Committee for the VA (https://www.va.gov/RAC-GWVI/index.asp ).
Please, don't wait to capture the memories and projects that matter most. Contact me today to schedule a pre-production meeting, your photography, videography, drone, and/or 360* asset session, so I can help you create lasting memories or make the next sale.
